  1. Go for it. 4 Star Review

I found it to be a good effective razor, with Italian style. The choice of a longer handle, say ninety three millimeters, would be a bonus, otherwise no complaints.

Excellent open comb razor good value for money, would recommend

  3. A close and smooth shave. 5 Star Review

I have had three shaves with this razor now. I am still amazed at what a close shave and how smooth it is. Two passes are all I need, whereas, another razor would take three.

I have tried a Merkur Slant, Muhle R41 and a Gem Micromatic. Out of these I would choose the Fatip every time.

It has the same 'aggressiveness' as the R41 without the danger of nicking yourself if you make a slight wrong move. (You really have to walk on eggshells with the R41.) Also, it is less 'bitey' than the R41 -- smoother. You hardly feel the stubble being cut.

    I can't wait for tomorrow's shave.

The production of the razor today known as Fatip begun in Milan in the 1950ƒ??s. Due to financial probems, the original manufacturer was bought out by an artisan manufacturer of scissors. They over the machinery and materials and continued the production for a few years then suspended it. It was only in the 1980ƒ??s, with innovative equipment and processes, that manufacturing started again and the FATIP brand was re-launched from the original designs. The quality & performance of the product was greaty improved, whilst maintaining the distinctive characteristics of the razor. Today Fatip is renowned and loved the world over for its style, handling and precision which combine with ease of use and inherent safety. We can state that Fatip is an excellent example of the ƒ??made in Italyƒ? and an ambassador of the ƒ??art of shavingƒ? throughout the world.
