Product Overview

Wilkinson Sword Shaving Soap Stick - 50g

Product

For a classic wet shave, the Wilkinson Sword shaving stick is rich in skin-conditioning ingredients such as glycerine, lanolin, tallow and coconut oil. This traditional shaving soap stick represents good value for money and is equally suitable at home or in your washbag for travelling. It comes wrapped in foil with a protective plastic base.

How to use

Apply either with or without a shaving brush. With a brush, wet the soap, 'work' the top of the stick to load the bristle with soap and then apply to face. Always use strong circular movements to encourage exfoliation. Without a brush, wet the stick and apply directly to face then use hands to lather. Again use a firm pressure and circular motion. In both scenarios wait for 60 seconds after applying and then razor off. Afterwards, rinse the face thoroughly.  NB. We would recommend use with a brush

Recommended for

All skin types.

Grooming tip

Whilst taking a shower soak your shaving brush in hot water. When you are finished your shower both your stubble and brush will be ready for a shave!

The stick is mightier than the bowl

Posted by Dan on 25th May 2018

This shaving stick is definitely Wilko's best shaving soap of the current 2 they do. Maybe that's down to the fact the stick contains tallow and lanolin? I applied the stick to my face directly and applied the brush to the top of the stick. Needless to say with little effort I had a generous lather on a par with some of the better performing creams I own. It was easy to get the consistency I like by adding a little water. I was particularly impressed with the slickness. I used it with a Merkur Futur and felt the soap had given me more than enough protection; in fact I didn't get a single nick. There is a subtle scent. It doesn't remind me of anything but like others I think the scent beats that of Wilko's other soap. I'm usually more of a cream fan but this will definitely be in my regular rotation, at home and away.
